MEDICAL EDUCATION UNIT (MEU)

INTRODUCTION & HISTORY

MEU FMHS established on 3rd April 2001 approved during 33rd Senate meeting. Main role was support and training especially on teaching and learning activities during the initial establishment. Then in 2003, MEU was strengthened by five groups: curriculum development, assessment and evaluation, teaching and learning support, staff/students training and development and research.

VISION

To become a prominent, integral and accessible unit, advising on matters pertaining to undergraduate medical and nursing education

MISION

To facilitate faculty staff development, play a key advisory role in curriculum development and review, and be active in research involving medical education

Academic staff training & support

1. To assist the Dean & Deputy Dean in activities aiming to increase UNIMAS & FMHS visibility
2. To become information intermediary and activity betwen FMHS and UNIMAS CORPORATE (UC)
3. To plan and coordinate on periodical basis:
   1. promoting FMHS official and social activity
   2. announcing achievement and award received by faculty members
   3. preparing printed, electronic and multimedia materials
4. To upload news, write-up and photos on faculty social media including Website, Facebook, Instagram & YouTube
5. To assist in the coordination and preparation of faculty live streaming activities:
   1. webinar between FMHS and other agencies
   2. interdepartment 'Health Talk Series' 
   3. 'Special Guest Series' 
   4. other activities i.e signing of MoU/ MoA, innagural speech and etc
6. Taking photos and videos of FMHS activities 
7. Performing tasks as the PTJ webmaster and carrying out the following activities:
   1. ensuring the website is accessible at all times without any issues
   2. updating the website from time to time
   3. adherence to UNIMAS website development guidelines and UNIMAS ICT security policies
   4. reporting to the UC or the university’s technical web team regarding any breaches on the PTJ website
   5. uploading announcements and information about faculty activities
